Clinic of Angels is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe everyone in our community deserves equal access to information about their healthcare options.
Our conformance target
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines are the widely accepted standard for web accessibility and help ensure that websites are usable for people with a range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive impairments.
What we have done
We have built this website with accessibility in mind from the ground up. Specific measures include:
- Semantic HTML structure. The site uses proper headings, landmarks, and elements so assistive technologies like screen readers can navigate it effectively.
- Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element on the site is operable using a keyboard alone.
- Visible focus indicators. When you navigate with a keyboard, you can see which element is currently focused.
- Skip navigation link. A skip link is available to jump past repeated navigation and go directly to the main content.
- Alternative text. Images include descriptive alt text so screen reader users understand the content.
- Color contrast. Text and interactive elements meet AA contrast ratios for readability.
- Reduced motion support. If you have set a preference for reduced motion in your operating system, the site respects that preference and minimizes animations.
- Bilingual support. The site serves our community in both English and Spanish.
Known limitations
Accessibility is ongoing work. Third-party content and tools, such as the embedded Google Map on our contact page, are managed by those providers and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We monitor these integrations and advocate for improvements.
If you encounter any content or functionality that does not work well with your assistive technology, please let us know. We take every report seriously and will work to fix the issue.
